The Generous Husband
He Is Risen.
As we celebrate resurrection Sunday, I find myself thinking how much more difficult marriage must be for those not serious about following Jesus. For Lori and me, I see no way our marriage would have survived the first few years had we not both been all about living His way.
Because I’ve been forgiven for so much, it’s easier to forgive my wife. Because I’ve benefited from His grace, I have learned to give grace to Lori. When I was frustrated beyond what I could stand I would yell at God rather than my wife and He gave me the wisdom to do what was right and the strength to do it.
Yes, my theology gives me a framework for marriage, but more than that it helps me be the kind of man a woman wants to be with.
Lori and I have a great marriage today because of what the Lord has done in and through us.
He Is Risen Indeed!
